The Voopoo DRAG series has had plenty of updates in the vape world! Today, I want to talk about the Voopoo Drag X2 Kit, the latest addition to their famous Drag lineup. So, what kind of awesome performance can we expect this time?  Let's dive in and check out what's new with this one!

Introduction To VOOPOO Drag X2 Kit

This vape kit operates with a single 18650 battery and has a 5ml capacity with an easy-to-use side-fill design for quick refills. It comes with a new menu interface that highlights key information on the UI. The Drag X2 kit uses the Gene.TT 2.0 chip and offers three modes: Smart, RBA, and Eco. The advanced 0.96-inch TFT screen clearly displays all the relevant settings and battery life, so you can easily monitor and adjust as needed. It features adjustable output power from 5 watts to 80 watts, allowing you to effortlessly switch between different vaping styles like MTL, RDL, and DTL. Plus, it comes with six safety protections, including overtime, short circuit, overcharge, output overcurrent, low battery, and chip overheating protection.

Design Highlights Of The VOOPOO Drag X2 Kit

The Drag X2 pod mod is built with a zinc alloy frame featuring a large leather grip and a thick metal border. The design stretches from the top of the device down to the front and sides. Each color option has a unique paint finish on the frame and different leather patterns. Its rectangular shape has the buttons placed just below the screen. There's a USB-C port underneath for firmware updates and occasional charging.

Battery Compartment

The battery compartment, located inside the leather handle, is accessible by removing the magnetic cover and can be easily detached. Strong magnets keep the cover securely in place.  It's recommended to use an external charger for recharging the removable battery.

Vape Tank

Like most of the Drag series, the X2 has a tank held in place by magnets on the top of the device. The tank rests in a deep slot on top and stays securely in place.

The classic tank holds a generous 5ml of e-liquid. To fill it, lift the silicone cover and insert the e-liquid bottle tip. The clear design makes it easy to check the liquid level at a glance. You can adjust the airflow at the top, which helps with smooth draws and coil cooling. Coils are inserted at the bottom of the tank and must be aligned properly, with the flat areas matching the tank's mold.

Color Display

The color display is simple and to the point, with ideal brightness levels, even in direct sunlight. Key information like wattage, puff count, coil resistance, and more is clearly visible.  The menu is straightforward, and the power adjusts automatically based on the coil in the tank and the selected mode.

PnP X Coils

The kit comes with two coils: a 0.15Ω mesh coil for DTL vaping and a 0.3Ω mesh coil for MTL and RDTL vaping. All PnP X mesh coils are push-fit, using heat-resistant cotton for the wicking material, and they provide excellent sealing for a smooth vaping experience.

How do The PnP X Coils Perform?

VOOPOO claims that each coil can handle at least 100ml of e-liquid and promises up to 4 times the vaping enjoyment compared to other coils.

• PnP X 0.3Ω (32-40W) RDL + MTL: In Smart mode, the device automatically sets the wattage to 35W for this coil. At 20W, you'll already get amazing flavor and vapor production.
• PnP X 0.15Ω (60-80W) DTL: When using this coil in Smart mode with the Drag X2, the wattage is automatically set to 65W. But I found that it performs best when you crank the wattage up to 70W.

What Are The Specific Uses Of The Three Modes: SMART, RBA, And ECO?

The device offers three modes: Smart, RBA, and ECO, each with its features:

• Smart mode is designed to detect the coil's resistance and automatically pick the best wattage. This mode prevents you from pushing too much power through the coil, helping avoid burning and extending the coil's lifespan.
• RBA mode gives you total control, letting you manually set the wattage anywhere between 5W and 80W—so you can fine-tune it to your preference.
• ECO mode helps save battery by improving efficiency by 10%. When your battery level drops below 40%, it automatically kicks in to extend your battery life.

How To Operate The Buttons On The VOOPOO Drag X2 Kit?

• Power On/Off: Press the power button 5 times to turn it on or off.
• Lock/Unlock: Press and hold both the up adjustment button and the power button.
• To adjust settings, use the "+" or "-" buttons to scroll through the menu. The option you're currently on will be highlighted in the background. Press the fire button to select that setting.
• To change the wattage more quickly, hold down the "+" or "-" buttons.

How Do You Replace the Coil in a PnP X Pod?

If your device's TFT display prompts a coil replacement, or if your e-liquid starts tasting burnt, it's time to change the coil.

To replace it, remove the PnP X pod from the Drag X2 device. Flip the pod upside down (drip tip facing down) and hold your finger over the opening of the drip tip. Pull out the old coil from the bottom of the pod.

Insert a new coil while still holding the drip tip. Push the coil firmly into place, and you're all set.

Be sure to fill the pod and let it sit for 15 minutes so the wick can fully absorb the e-liquid before using it.
